Fun times!

DSCF1017 So last night my friend Malinda took me to the grocery store and was amazing.  She unloaded my groceries at the checkout, loaded them into her van and then unloaded them into our kitchen!  It was the longest I’d been out of the house since my surgery.

Another friend from church, Maureen works for Cincy Chic, an online magazine.   They werDSCF1019e having a contest and the winners won 3 of Sanda Lee’s new cookbooks( this, this one an this!) a chance to meet her to get the book signed and get your picture with her.  So yesterday Maureen told me I was a winner.   I invited Malinda to join me so we planned to go together.    The funniest thing was I was worried Malinda wouldn’t get to meet Sandra Lee like I woulDSCF1020d but as she was standing around waiting for the interview, she walked up to Malinda and introduced herself and shook her hand, then she did the same, so she got to meet her before I did!    She also was able to get her books signed.

Go here to watch Maureen interview Sandra Lee as well as towards the end see her addressing me, signing my books then you will see me getting my pic taken w/ her.   Way too cool! ( you may need to scroll down and click on the video w/ Maureen and Sandra Lee)  I was excited that there are a few great looking slow cooker recipes in the one cookbook that I know we will love!  I am all for new slow cooker recipes!   (susan I’ll have to share them with you of course!  🙂 )

Tomorrow night Dean and I are going to an improv show that should be a lot of fun.  I could get used to not working, not having to take care of the kids all day, and getting to go do fun stuff in the evenings after being lazy most of the day!   Yeah right, you know if it werent for these last few nights out I’d be going stir crazy!

About Amy

Mom to boys who were born Aug. 2001, Nov. 2004, March 2006; and devoted wife to the love of my life since Nov. 1998. Chronic worrier but devoted Christian who is trying to put her fears and faith in the One who created it all and provides for all my needs despite the daily challenges and doubts that arise. Along the way I chose to share my journey with you. Thanks for coming along for the ride! The road won't always be bright and the journey may sometimes be hard, but it can be an amazing adventure if you keep your eyes and thoughts "on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable" (Philippians 4:8).
