Breaking through the Fibrofog…

I took Zeke and Bo to get pics taken yesterday…they turned out so adorable!!  they even asked me if they could use there pictures for advertising and the like and of course I agreed!!  I signed the realease form, the more I thought about it I should have asked for some free pics first!

Dean’s brother and long time gal(and babies momma;-) ) are getting married this Saturday, just happens to be on Dean’s birthday.  I’m excited about it, also excited about planning a cake for it.  I havent done a cake in a while due to the pain I had been in, but lately I’ve been doing so much better with these new meds.  I was looking forward to Zeke’s upcoming birthday to make a cake but now I have an even better occassion to make one sooner.    I told Dean I probably wont make him a birthday cake though, he can just eat the cake at the wedding!

Last Saturday I went to see the Beth Moore simulcast, it was great.  I went with Dean’s mom, sister, soon to be sister in law, meanwhile all of our guys and kids hung out together.  it was a family filled weekend, it was really nice.

well I just wanted to update…I’ll try to get some pics up soon of all of the kids.

bought a new laptop tonight…dean’s setting up….took lots of pics of the house today and downloaded but I’m heading to bed…will get new pics up tomorrow…time and child willing.

our new King bed arrives tomorrow!!  we test drove a 2005 Grand Caravan SE today, stow and go seats and 4 doors…taking it to a mechanic to get it checked out tomorrow, if all goes well we might buy it on Saturday!! we’ll be in Baltimore April 1-8th, I cant wait!!!

lots more to say…too little time or energy…hoping the new laptop allows me the freedom to write more on here while the kids play in our newly organized playroom in the finished basement.

I just love this weather….NOT!  our power went out last night right after dinner, around 6:15 or so.   it came back on between 4 and 5 a.m. this morning.  it is still freezing in here as we  had no heat that entire time.   no school again for the kiddo, Dean had to go to work sadly.   I know I havent written a lot lately, and I have tons to share about, just dont have the time.

the biggest news:

my new medicines are really working…I awake feeling great, with no Pain!!!  it’s as if I was never sick to begin with, I feel blessed for sure by this!!  looking into getting a part time job working at church…maybe paid maybe volunteer…still thinking it through…

BO’s eval for speech therapy came back, he does great for his age in comprehension, but as far as speech itself he’s delayed, he’s at the level of a 15 month old, he’s currently 27 months old, so a year behind!  we knew something was wrong but that’s a big deal.  he goes this Friday for another eval for occupational therapy for the other issues he has, I’m nervous about it, I feel like it’s my fault he’s delayed.  if I hadnt been so sick and/or pregnant so soon he may have gotten more attention and would have been talking fine just like caleb did at his age.  I also worry something bigger is wrong with him healthwise but the pediatrician wont do anything to treat his vomitting problem.  the drs biggest concern was Bo’s size, he’s off the charts.  He is 36 in. tall…so above average in height, really tall actually for his age.   but also weighs 36 lbs so is overweight…but my thought is if he was short or normal height and that weight I’d understand but he’s taller but almost 15% of his peers so I would expect w/ the height extra weight evened it out, but she said we need to watch what he eats.  but he’s the healthiest of us…he’ll eat his fruit and veggies first and will turn down cookies or treats for a peice of fruit!   considering how much he throws up and is overweight I would think she would realize there’s a problem but she just wanted to drill me for overfeeding him, which we dont do.   I’d admit it if we did.

well I have to run…the kiddos are bored of me sitting here and want attention…silly kids….what am I your mother or something??

Caleb stayed home from school on Monday because on Sunday he had a fever.   I kept him home just to be safe.  Tuesday he seemed ok so he went but we picked him up about an hour early due to the snow and two sick kids already at home.   Wednesday school was closed due to the snow.  So this morning I thought several times that he should probably stay home, particularly after he said his head and chest hurt.   But he had a big day planned, a party at school for the book fair and the first of a 8 week art class after school was over that we signed him up for as well as I had a teacher conference scheduled because I guess they do them here this time of year.  The school called around 10 said he had a headache but no fever.  He said he could hang in there til we could get there to give him tylenol for the headache.   So….shortly before noon they called again, this time he had a slight fever.   so home he came. …no first art class, that we PAID for, and no party, cancelled the teacher meeting so I wouldnt have 3 sick kids with me while I went to talk to her.  Bo and Caleb have doctors appts scheduled for 4 today.  On monday both had some symptoms but the dr only had one open appt which we used for Zeke since he was really sick and wheezing.   so now the other two get to go back and hopefully get some medicine.  Bo started wheezing last night, and he was coughing so bad he could barely breath, it was scary.   today he’s seeming a little better but all of them are clingy and sound horrible when they cough.  the bigger question I have is when do Dean and I get this bug they have???  hopefully not at the same time!!   but I think if we do I”ll go to the dr right away since we know that the kids had it so bad, cant wait to see what the dr today says these two have…Calebs symptoms are so different, but that might just be because he can tell us the ones like headahce, stomach ache and chest pain that the other two cant.   well gotta go…two napping kids, caleb is going to shower to try to get his fever down.   turning into another fun day here….I cant wait for them all to be well again…

on a good note…the new meds the dr gave me are working great!! hardly any pain at all since wednesday and last night I slept really well!   so praying things continue to get better for my health…gotta run…

zeke has bronchitis and double ear infections….she was kind enough to check Bo and Caleb’s ears, both were fine.  but I’m afraid Bo will be back for an antibiotic soon because his cough is sounding worse and she didnt check his breathing/coughing, you can hear Zeke wheezing without having to listen too closely but I think she may have given bo meds if she had listened to his chest too..but pray they both get better soon…caleb too!  I’m hoping Caleb’s isnt strep, he’s complaining of a head ache and stomach ache, for him that usually means strep.   but he has no fever today so I just go an appointment for Zeke since they ony had one opening.  I guess if they are still sick they will go later this week.   man I am sure our new insurance company is loving us…gotta get  2 more meds for me today and one for zeke…fun times!! thank goodness for Dean’s flexible spending acct, man I love that thing!!
