Breaking through the Fibrofog…

tackling 3 boys, a dog and a few rare health conditions, it’s all in a day’s work for this SAHM

Put the kids in bed a tad early, since it was a long crazy day.   Did my 2 mile walk and literally came to bed, laid down, and closed my eyes.   Dean came up soon after and after a few drinks I am more awake and we’re watching episodes of a show called Firefly.   I’m getting tired again, but at this point should stay up just to say I made it to new years…..

way to go…I’m sure we’re the only 20 somethings living out such a boring night…..

he’s poxed for life!

Any big plans for ringing in the new year?  for me all I can hope is that I am in bed at midnight if not sooner, unless of course I am blessed with a nap before then.   Caleb indeed has chicken pox.   I went to our friends at 6:30 this morning to wait for her kids to wake up so she could go to work.   After that I brought them to our house, so we’ve had 6 children at our house today and it’s been quite challenging.  not to mention I’m exhausted!!  Dean did allow me an hour away to go to curves so I “allowed” him to take caleb to the doctors appointment today leaving me w/ 5 kids!  At least it is nice enough outside so we’ve been playing outside for a while.  Inside now for a while because I’m so dang exhausted!  Now that it’s for sure chicken pox I cant do anything worthwhile the rest of this week, and that’s just until Caleb gets better, praying the other two dont get it.  and just because I know you care…..Caleb had been vaccinated but still got it so I’ve little hope that the other two wont get it as well.   just because that’s how lucky we usually are!

I’m on day 6 of the faith walk devotional, I’ve done the 2 mile walk 4 times, today will be my 5th time in those 6 days.  i took Friday off because I had such a rough day, but I did go to curves that day.   I’m hoping to get the walk in later too but right now all I feel like is sleep.

what a big day for Caleb yesterday…he lost his first tooth, and we realized he probably has chicken pox.  calling the drs office today to see if he needs to be seen.

the tooth story is one of those “mommy moments” I’ll never forget.   His tooth has been soooo loose for a week or two and we’ve been trying to convince him to let us pull it.   Yesterday it was crooked and hanging mostly out so as I sat next to him on the futon in the playroom , while he did a flip on the futon(he’s an aspiring gymnast it seems!) his head landed beside me (upside down) and I quickly reached into his laughing mouth and just pushed a bit on the tooth, it fell out and landed in his nostril!

gotta run…but wanted to blog before i forget!!

I doubt I can convince anyone I know to do this..but it might help others be more understanding!

DSCF0046 (FYI: lots of pics up on Flickr.) We’ve had a busy week but so far a laid back holiday itself.   On Sunday evening Zeke fell and hit his facce pretty hard on the hard part of our sofa, i.e. not cushioned part.  So it swelled up pretty badly,DSCF0029 so yesterday I took him to the dr in the morning to see if it was broken.   He cant tell much so if it looks at all abnormal after the swelling is gone we will have to get it re-examined.   After that Dean got home early from work and we made sugar cookies using my Great Grandmothers Recipe.  Then we exchanged gifts w/ our friends, who happen to be our neighbors as well.   After that we went to participate in the 8th annual donut outreach at church(there were tons of people of church for this event!)DSCF0037 , they give out boxes of fresh Krispy Kreme donuts to those unfortunate souls that have to work on Christmas eve, it ended up being a long ordeal for us, so  it was a bummer, but we prayed that somehow those donuts got to someone who needed to know they were cared for this holiday.   This morning we did our gifts then had Dean’s family over for lunch and gifts.

some gifts we’ve received this holiday season:

Bo : guitar (electronic big kid kind, but not a real “electric” one), Geotraxx set, crayons, markers, remote control fireDSCF0069 engine, Geotraxx train w/ remote(in addition to the set we got him), trucks, clothes, one cool shirt says Pots and Pans band, the other says “dont blame me , the dog did it”, Doodlebops movie, play spiderman camera w/ case, Memory game…more but my memory fails me

DSCF0080 Zeke: dishwashing set w/ dishes and uses real water( a really big hit w/ all of them!), play food, keyboard (see the musical theme we’re having?), bath toys & accessories,  Mr. Potato head w/ pirate accessories(i’m excited about this, since we’ve never had one for any of the boys and they play w/ them at preschool and love it!) , Barney movie set,Little People Airplane

Collective gifts: my mom is going to renew our zoo membership for 2008, my friend gave us family season passes to the Cincinnati Musuem center also for 2008(awesome gift and friends!) - which has a childrens musuem(we’ve yet to go there since the move or at all for that matter, so it’s pretty exciting!) , Dean’s parents are giving Dean and I season passes to Kings island for the upcoming year, so we just need to get one for Caleb and Bo before the season starts!
