Boaz went swimming today and loved it, we didnt get any pics w/ him smiling but he was and he really seemed to like the water
It’s been a crazy day or two….we’re in Ohio now. We ended up leaving early since last night at dinner time we got a call that Dean’s 9 month old neice was flown to the childrens hospital. She has been diagnosed w/ pneumonia and rsv. In an attempt to help her breathe the ER staff at the first hospital punctured her lung, up until a little while ago she was on a ventilator to help her breathe. She may be in the hospital the whole time we are visiting. Needless to say after the call last night we decided to just leave then since we were mostly packed and ready to go.
I was already in shock yesterday morning after hearing a coop mom had a stroke last week, she’s young, healthy and active. I was very upset and worried about her and her family, after talking to her I felt a little better. She was still in the hospital but sounded well. I’d been counting my blessings after hearing about her and then we found out about the baby. My brother and his family also have a baby that same age and they are all battling some sort of bug, I’d be a mess if it was my brothers baby. I am upset and sad about Dean’s neice but it’s not my brother so I can be somewhat more detached from it. every cough and time that Bo struggles to breathe w/ this cold he has is now making me fear that he’ll get rsv too since he’s so young. Caleb had RSV when he was an infant and boaz is sounding a lot worse today than he was so all this around us has me in worry mode. So please pray for Dean’s family as they await for Brianna to recover. We were hoping to spend time visiting w/ them this week but right now she’s in icu and they are only allowing visitors from 5-7 pm. We stayed home this evening so Dean’s sister could go up to visit since we’re all worn out from traveling.
Boaz is sick but he’s showing off his personality for everyone and they’re loving seeing him. we took some pics earlier I’ll try to get some up before the weekend is over. He’s been happy and the drive was easy and uneventful, which was nice! the only issue was us getting sick of Caleb asking when we’d be there! now he’s happy to be spending time w/ his cousins and grandparents.
I’m glad we can be here w/ his family at such an important time as they deal with the baby’s illness together, I know I’d be upset if I was miles away and it was my family, so it’s good to be able to be here and going through it together. I’ll keep everyone updated!
Happy 4 months Boaz!!! My little guy is showing his personality with every new day. He’s a great baby, even when battling a cold that’s making him stuffy he barely fusses. Two nights ago he was up a lot but we found propping him up on a pillow and in the boppy pillow last night helped him sleep til 8:25 this morning! Even now as I hear him struggling to breathe clearly through the congestion he’s laughing and cooing at his big brother. They love each other so much and it’s the sweetest thing to watch their interactions. I know it may get more difficult as they get older, but for now I’m loving being a mom to two little boys!!!

I’ve spent the day running around w/ two kids in the rain, after the second store I realized it probably wasnt a good idea to do so with one kid thats still a little sick and on that’s getting sicker as we speak. I was determined though to finish some errands so we’d be prepared for our upcoming trip, and when I’m determined not much will stop me. I’ve spent the afternoon tackling projects that are making me feel way too overcommitted, but also makes me feel needed so it’s hard to decide which feeling is better. I have tons to get done and many times today have just looked around the house and decided to tackle other things that needed done instead. Luckily Caleb is well enough and will have preschool tomorrow morning so I’m hoping to do our packing then.
One thing good that came out of my running, I found these. I didnt even intend to look for anything like this but when I found them on clearance on walmart I simply had to get some. I’m hoping to decorate our living room w/ them. I’m sooo excited, it’s too bad it wont happen for another two weeks though. I’ll take pics before and after, whenever it gets done. Whoever came up w/ these things are geniuses. For $19 my living room is going to look like a whole new place!! wohoo!! well now I’m just procrastinating again. Oh well….at least Dean will be home soon to help me procrastinate more.
New Haircut and Pics of the boys, again!
My new smaller size shirt and pants, I know I still need to lose more weight but I went from size 20 pants to these size 16!! I hate to admit my size on here but I’m proud of my weight loss. In time I hope to lose 45 more pounds. This is also to serve as a before for my new haircut photo!
My new hairdo, I got it highlighted and the length in the back cut off. I really like it. She also thinned it some as my hair is super thick.
caleb today, he keeps saying he’s not sick yet he’s lethargic, coughing and has a runny nose. I think he just wants to go to school.
