Breaking through the Fibrofog…

tackling 3 boys, a dog and a few rare health conditions, it’s all in a day’s work for this SAHM

how’s my day going…it’s going great!  the highlight of course was when waiting at Sams club for the cashier to get done figuring out why my card wouldnt work the lady behind us kept laughing at me, or so I thought.  I turned around to see that Zeke had pulled a tampon out of the diaper bag and kept playing with it while we the cashier talked to his supervisor about getting my card to work.  this of course all happened after I was unloading our stuff onto the conveyor belt and realized Bo had slipped away from me.  he had been there, content to chit chat w/ the kid behind us but in my attempt to get done quickly I failed to check on him enough, and luckily others in line(never go to sams on pay day or a major holiday weekend, esp. not w/ two kids alone.)  had kept an eye on him and pointed him out to me, he was sitting just past the check out at the tables where you can eat.  he was happy just sitting there, he even got comfy and took his shoes off.   Ironically it was the “best” trip I’ve had to store w/ the kids.   really, they were great today for once.  Bo is doing much better as long as I dont confine him to a cart, so lately I’ve reluctantly let him walk beside me as I shop w/ Zeke in the cart.    I actually laughed off the tampon incident, I turned to the laughing lady and said oh well, with three boys it was bound to happen sometime.   I really just brushed it off, I’ve learned to get over things like that, it’s just not worth stressing over things, that would use up what little energy and patience I have left.

going to attempt one more trip to the store this afternoon w/ the boys.  wish me luck!   I’m exhausted, but it’s a beautiful day out, that helps my mood a lot!   and it’s Friday, and a long weekend! wohoo!!

I didnt want to get out of bed today, as usual!  I think I have the kids stomach bug, that or it’s just my normal stuff just being worse today.   I still managed to take Zeke and Bo to the library for story time, it was for age 6-18 months, so basically for Zeke.   But Bo loved it. last week we tried the preschool storytime for 3-5 year olds and Bo wasnt at all interested and Zeke was so sick and miserable it made for a horrible trip.  but today we stayed for about an hour, both boys loved storytime.  Bo’s in a “train” phase.  he loves trains!  We set up Calebs geotrax set in Bo’s room and scoured the house for the trains and remotes and I ended up finding them.  So he has had a ball making the train go along the track.  But the point was, the stories today were about cars and trains, so Bo loved it.  He also liked the songs as did Zeke.

picniclunches.jpgSince I’m not feeling well and am motivated to do nothing….the boys are enjoying their lunchables(so I didnt have to make lunch) on the picnic table watching the teletubby dvd Bo picked out at the library.  I love the library here, in MD you had to pay to borrow movies, vhs or dvd.  The library here lets you borrow them for free.   So we’ve been doing that lately.   Last week we got a Thomas the train video.    I’m hoping the boys will nap some before we go to get caleb but not sure if they will or not.  Bo’s laying on the sofa now watching his video, so maybe he will fall asleep.  I know Zeke is tired, I’m guessing he only fought his nap because he was hungry.

I put a couple more pics up on flickr.  I really need to upgrade my acct, hoping to after pay day on Friday. here’s a few of them.

so far no diarrhea or throw up since early this morning.  But…Bo hasnt drank or eaten anything all day.  He must be sick, that child never turns down meals more than once in a day!  he hasnt eaten anything.  He tasted a bit of a pedialyte popsicle then decided he didnt want it.  Several times he has almost fallen asleep on the sofa.  I’m trying to convince him to watch tv in our bed so he can fall asleep there.  Caleb was almost asleep just now on the sofa too.  I wish they’d both go to sleep already…

and here’s the whole story.   I’m wondering if they got their facts straight though, it says something about the 5th and 4th floor,  I didnt even know there were more floors at the school than the one.

A great day in the making!   Caleb school called around 9 am to say they had to evacuate and close again due to another power outage.   Caleb and his friend both said there was a loud noise then the power went off.  I heard one mother talking about an explosion.  3 local news stations were there but it’s yet to show up on their webpages, I’ll post more when we know more.   this is the principal’s first year here, the old one resigned over the summer.  I feel bad for him having to deal w/ a first week like this.   So now Caleb’s home but currently he’s at a friends house since I told the friend not to play here since the boys are sick.   at least we wont have to go pick up caleb at one now!

Holy Crap!

Dean is the most amazing husband!  He tells me he not only cleaned up Bo’s throw up through the night several times but he even put the dirty sheets in the washer!   I got up to clean up diarrhea sheets for Zeke but didnt dare go down 2 flights of stairs to put them in the wash.  So Bo has gotten bit by Zeke’s bug, they both have diarrhea and Bo is throwing up.  In all my strengths as a mom I think my kryptonite is throw up.  I can do a lot of things but I just cant deal w/ throw up.  I even slept through most of Dean’s ordeals through the night.  I was awoken once just because Bo had come to my side of the bed and was throwing up there for me!  (at least our bedroom floors are hardwood, much easier to clean than his carpet in his room.) It’s going to be an interesting day.  Zeke’s up and seems like he’s feeling better, but he’s also had it a few more days than Bo.  poor Bo bo is still asleep.    Pray the kids feel better soon and the rest of us get spared from getting sick!

It’s so hot out!!  I feel bad for Caleb. he’s sitting at school w/ no a/c in this heat.  they are dismissing at 1 all this week but theyve been there all morning in this heat!   I took Bo and Zeke to Sharon Woods to play in the water but even w/ sunscreen on Zeke was getting burned or looked like it and I was getting shaky and already felt bad so we only stayed for about an hour.   Now it’s time for lunch and then to go get Caleb.  After that who knows, none of the pools are open this week because of school being in session.  so I’m guessing we’ll just hang out here all afternoon instead of going out in this insane heat!
