Love the one you’re with!

longtimeagoA long, long time ago, I met a boy and fell in love. I celebrated my 18th birthday with him as my boyfriend, my 19th with him as my husband.  The year I turned 21 we had our first son. Years have passed and he’s still the best boyfriend ever!   35thbirthdaydeanLast year the love of my life turned 35.  The last year has been a whirlwind of ups and downs.  We’ve overcome a few obstacles but most importantly we refocused our priorities. In the last year we have fought hard to keep our marriage together.

We went on countless dates together.

There’s a key theme to the last year in the McKenzie family: togetherness!

Today as I celebrate the love of my life’s 36th birthday, more than anything I want to celebrate that word.

We’ve come a long way in the last year and even the last 15+ years that we’ve been together.

I look forward to seeing what this next year holds for us, as individuals, a couple, and  family.

Here’s to another wonderful year by your side Dean!

Happy Birthday!

About Amy

Mom to boys who were born Aug. 2001, Nov. 2004, March 2006; and devoted wife to the love of my life since Nov. 1998. Chronic worrier but devoted Christian who is trying to put her fears and faith in the One who created it all and provides for all my needs despite the daily challenges and doubts that arise. Along the way I chose to share my journey with you. Thanks for coming along for the ride! The road won't always be bright and the journey may sometimes be hard, but it can be an amazing adventure if you keep your eyes and thoughts "on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable" (Philippians 4:8).
