Spring Break “staycation”

Caleb, Zeke, Laure and Bo We were supposed to go to Baltimore this week to enjoy our spring break w/ my family but we had to cancel due to Dean’s lay off. I think our kids should still get to do fun things since they do know what was supposed to be happening this week, plus I hope to keep myself busy enough not to think about it. Today we went to0408091414 the Newport Aquarium. I took my boys, Katelyn (the baby girl I babysit) and my (big helper!) niece Laura. I only agreed to this costly expenditure was because I had two BOGO coupons, pay for one adult get one free child admission, so for their purposes Laura was an adult. I ended up paying for myself, Laura and one kid which was still a lot for as lame as this aquarium is compared to the Baltimore one! We splurged on McDonalds for lunch on the way there as well.

I’m hoping to take them to the zoo tomorrow but it will depend on how I’m feeling. I have another killer sore throat and am wiped out after todays trip! I think Friday or Monday we are going to go swimming at the Y, whichever day Dean takes off of work. there’s no way I’m doing that solo w/ a baby!

Chronic worrier but devoted Christian who is trying to put her fears and faith in the One who created it all and provides for all my needs despite the daily challenges and doubts that arise. Along the way I chose to share my journey with you. Thanks for coming along for the ride! The road won't always be bright and the journey may sometimes be hard, but it can be an amazing adventure if you keep your eyes and thoughts "on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable" (Philippians 4:8).
