Birthday Bash

Today we had family and friends over to celebrate Caleb’s 3rd birthday. After enjoying a morning of morning sickness (i’ll leave out the details of the time actually spent over the toilet), I managed to actually have little to do to prepare for the party, seems being overly organized makes things a lot easier. The kids enjoyed a Bob the Builder and a game similar to pin the tail on the donkey but where you try to put Bob’s wrench on his tool belt, way too cute! On Friday I spent time making sure the playroom was neat and organized but it went unused as the kids spent most of the time outside enjoying the unseasonably cool weather. They never even stepped foot in the playroom, I find that hilarious! Needless to say they had a ball running around outside. I equipped them w/ lots of energy after they enjoyed tons of candy from the pinata!

Hoping to get pics up tomorrow at the earliest. But overall the day was great. My feet are aching and swollen and my back is hurting too, so aside from being pregnant I feel great! It’s always a great to host a party w/ 5 kids that all get along. Not one incident of fighting! Almost too perfect! We were missing a few guests due to illness so that was a bummer but we still had a full house. I wish everyone had been here but we didnt invite as many people as we have in the past mostly due to finances, our own being slim and even less after the party today so we had a drastically lower amt of guests than we have for Caleb’s previous b-day parties. I dont know how I’ll pull off a b-day party after another child, these things are so expensive and time consuming to prepare for! at least I have a year to figure out how to manage two kids and party planning!

baby boy B is making his prescence well known to me. Every day his kicks get more and more impressive, as his growth is making the size of my baby belly more massive! I love to feel his kicks I just wish when I was ready for bed he’d let me sleep! It’s getting very hard to sleep at night w/ the baby’s kicks keeping me up; and getting and staying comfy is getting harder every day. Last night I got a great night’s sleep but mostly because I ran myself til I was exhausted and for once fell asleep easily and stayed that way til morning. I’m hoping it wasnt because for once it wasnt hot and humid because I dont think this unseasonably cool weather will last long. I have a feeling after our long busy day today I’ll sleep well again, and maybe if I get a few good nights sleep my body will cooperate and my mornings will get easier. promise to get b-day party pics up soon! just not too soon!
