A Day at the Airport

mckenziefamilyairport6.10.06.jpgDean’s parents spent the last week or so in Florida but they live in Ohio. So today they were flying back and had a layover at BWI for a few hours. We went to meet them and had lunch with them. we left them at the gate and headed to the observation deck, which is really cool! while there they called and said the flight was overbooked so they got off (getting them 2 free round trip tickets and an upgrade on the rest of their flight) and were going to wait for the next flight out. So we hung out with them some more until the boys were restless, Bo went all day without a nap! We had a great day and were sad to see them go!fatherlikesontruckthingy.jpg

zeke6.10.06.jpgCaleb, Bo and Ezekiel were very happy to see the McKenzie grandparents. Dean is a lot like his dad, as you can see they think alike and spent time hanging out having fun w/ the boys.

calebflying.jpgthe observation deck had all sorts of fun stuff for the kidsdeanboairplane.jpg to do. You could look out and see the planes gassing up or having the luggage unloaded. Bo enjoyed the luggage cars better than watching the planes. This was a play plane that you could go into and pretend to pilot or be passengers in.

bocrawling6.10.06.jpgthere was this strange car/truck not sure what it’s called type vehicle! But it had a part the kids could climb through. at first Bo refused to go into that part of it. eventually he gave in and went it, after that he kept climbing in. Again I was proud of him for getting over his fear of the unknown.

Caleb wants to know when he can go on a real airplane, I’m sure this is the first and maybe last or at least for a long long while time, that I’ll be on a plane w/ my boys!
And on a totally unrelated note…I’ve been harassing Dean about his out of control hair and facial growth. I think the facial growth is just because he’s too lazy to shave, the out of control hair is because he’s letting it grow and it’s just wild looking. and it’s not that he mylove6.10.06.jpglooks bad, because I’m a little biased, but I dont mind the wild hair and while the facial hair is annoying sometimes, it’s not that bad, and well I am still attracted to the man, and am glad he’s mine! but today while at lunch I saw a guy, probably our age, with long hair pulled back in a pony tail and facial hair that needed some shaving but I found myself thinking he didnt look that bad, and then I realized that I think I’m only hung up on Dean’s look is because I know he looks great when he’s freshly shaven, but in truth, it is kind of hot! and I know when he can keep it pulled back in a pony tail it will be fine, it’s just waiting for it to get that long. so honey, while i may harass you, I still think you look FINE!!! 😉 (and I saved that for the end of todays entry because Dean always says he never reads a full entry I write, he’ll browse the entry and just not read it all, so if he gets this far this is for him! )
