blah…kindergarten here stinks….they arent even having an end of year party or anything for Caleb.  Guess when it’s not mandatory it’s not a big deal.  but hey, my kid finishes kindergarten in a day and a half, and heck I am going to make a big deal out of it.   all of the other grades are having awards assemblies and stuff but no not Calebs class.  I want to celebrate with and for him, this is a big deal, if nothing this last year he’s learned to read!!  He can really read books by himself, it’s awesome and that’s something I want to make a big deal of!

I just ate a box of crunch & munch, no doubt binge eating out of worry out of lack of finances to deal w/ these dumb issues that came up, not to mention just paying $3.39 /gal for gas.  oh well, at least it was after a good workout….plus I’m worried about little Zeke under going surgery to his ears, knowing that that might happen for Bo soon too, almost wanting to take them to get it done at the same time.  we’ll see what the drs think at their upcoming appts, Zeke’s is this Friday , Bo’s is the following week.   I am considering cancelling my trip to Baltimore pending how much the car repair and a/c fix end up costing us.  esp. after being reminded how much gas will cost for a 500 mile trip.  ugh…

Shew!  what a day!  after running around and not finding a bathing suit this morning the kids napped in the car and for about an hour at home after that.  When they woke I fed them lunch then we headed to kmart where I found a really cute bathing suit on sale then headed to pick up Caleb from school.  After stopping at home to get myself changed while the kids were tight in their carseats(instead of driving me nuts while at the Y while I changed)   we headed to check out the outdoor pool at the Y sicne we had never been before.   I was a little anxious about going to the pool w/ all three kids alone but it was a lot of fun.   bo is doing great swimming by himself w/ a life jacket on.  caleb is a great swimmer and Zeke loved just being held by me while getting wet.  We went there at 3 and Dean met us after he got off of work at 5.   We stayed til after 6 then came home for dinner.    I think caleb’s the only kid still awake, and I dont think Dean and I will be up for much longer, we’re both wiped out.  It’s been a very busy day for me, but I loved hanging out at the pool w/ the boys not to mention being out all day means the house stays clean so all I had to work on this evening was laundry, all those bathing suits and wet towels (from this afternoon and from when I went to the Y for swim class this morning)  so off to rest for me, I’m wiped out but it’s a good feeling, knowing I spent time having fun w/ my boys outside for hours without boring myself or feeling so bad I couldnt manage.

we turned our a/c on again last night, but again it wasnt really getting cold in the house.  so this evening when I got home and it’s still on but it’s 77 in the house , I went down to look at the a/c unit.  I couldnt see anything that looked or sounded wrong so the only thing I thought to do was check the filter.  it was so gross.  I had to pull it out in peices because it was so dirty and disgusting.  I replaced it with a new one and we’re hoping that’s all that was causing the problem.   It was really gross, i dont know how any air was getting through that nasty thing.    So pray it helps and that we dont have to have someone come out and check it or fix it.   if so it was a free fix, since the last owner left a few brand new filters.

anyway…off to a relaxing night w/ my hubby, if we have the energy to stay awake!

we had a fabulous weekend, but an exhausting one as well.   Dean came home a bit early on friday, just in time to help me blow up and fill a small pool I got for the kids.  the kids (meaning ours and some neighborhood ones) in the pool for a while then we had an inpromptu cookout w/ Dean’s parents and our nephew spent the night.  Saturday was busy as well, we went to Kings Island. On Sunday we had to be at church since we had volunteered to serve at 3 services.  So after church we went home and napped some.  When we woke up we ate some dinner and headed back to Kings Island.   (we have season passes) the water park opened this weekend and we had so much fun!! shortly before the water park was to close it started raining so they closed it early so we headed to the regular rides and stayed til 10 and saw fireworks.   Monday we did errands and I did the chore I let slide all weekend so that we’d be ready for our first Memorial day cookout at our new house.  we had invited everyone on our street.  about 5 families came, the kids played in the water while the adults talked.  it was a lot of fun.   today is my only ‘free day” this week.  I went to the Y then went out in search of a new swimsuit and met my MIL for a bit but never found one, but did find some great shirts really cheap.    the boys napped when we got home and are eating lunch now.  I”m hoping to have time to run to one more store before I pick up Caleb then we’ll head to the pool til Dean gets home.  that’s the plan anyway…I’m so tired though….we’ll see how it goes.

Caleb’s last day of school is this Thursday, it’s a half day at that.  then the fun of summer begins.  I’m planning a trip w/ the boys and I to Baltimore the week of June 12th.  dean’s fathers day gift will be almost a week to do whatever he wants.  I’m sure he’ll hang out at Kings Island and ride “adult” rides since he always takes caleb with him and he cant just ride what he wants.

lots more went out but I dont have time or the energy to go into it….but it was a great weekend and I am looking forward to an awesome summer.  we are definitely at home here in so many ways.  I’m making new friends, some who live on our street and the convenience of that is awesome.  I am getting to really feel comfortable calling this home, which is odd since we havent been here that long, but we’ve feel very welcomed.

gotta finish feeding the kids to get onto the store and back in time to pick up caleb.  have a great week!!

Zeke was up with a high fever last night, he had a low grade fever all week that I took as just a sign of his erupting tooth.  but after last night I called and made him a drs appt for this morning.  he finished his last dose of antibiotic for his ear infection about 10 days ago, yet today he’s got more ear infections.  we scheduled him an appt w/ an ent for next Friday.  I hate to think he will need tubes which means surgery when he’s so little, but I want him to stop getting sick!!  he’s been through three different meds since we’ve moved here, everytime he goes back he has another infection.  so today he put him on zithromax to see if that kicks it out of him this time.  my poor little guy!!   praying he feels better soon!!  the plus to today…both little ones slept til 9!  i was able to shower, unload dishes, start laundry, and relax for a minute.  I knew going to the Y was not an option w/ Zeke’s fever but oh well….working out every other day keeps me less exhausted than working out everyday.  well gotta go get some lunch…looking forward to a long weekend!

having 3 boys is so cost efficient when it comes to clothes….Zeke hardly had any summer outfits, so today I went to the basement and went through 3 containers full of his size clothes and came out w/ a washer full of summer outfits, mostly for Zeke but also some for Bo.  Bo is 2 1/2 and is wearing either a size 4 or 5!  Caleb is only in size 6 pants!   Bo went right past size 3 clothes.   It’s nice though only having to buy Caleb new summer clothes.    I even keep their old shoes so that’s nice too .   now if we could just get Bo out of diapers we’d save a lot of money..believe me I’ve been working hard but the child likes diapers.  I even let him buy some new underwear that he picked out but that didnt work!   well time to purge Zeke and bo’s closets and refill them w/ Caleb’s old clothes.  I love getting out Zeke clothes and remembering who wore what.  Some were new things given to us just for Bo, some have been through both Bo and Caleb.  It’s so amazing what spray and wash can do for clothes, most of them still look almost new.
