we had a fabulous weekend, but an exhausting one as well.  Dean came home a bit early on friday, just in time to help me blow up and fill a small pool I got for the kids. the kids (meaning ours and some neighborhood ones) in the pool for a while then we had an inpromptu cookout w/ Dean’s parents and our nephew spent the night. Saturday was busy as well, we went to Kings Island. On Sunday we had to be at church since we had volunteered to serve at 3 services. So after church we went home and napped some. When we woke up we ate some dinner and headed back to Kings Island.  (we have season passes) the water park opened this weekend and we had so much fun!! shortly before the water park was to close it started raining so they closed it early so we headed to the regular rides and stayed til 10 and saw fireworks.  Monday we did errands and I did the chore I let slide all weekend so that we’d be ready for our first Memorial day cookout at our new house. we had invited everyone on our street. about 5 families came, the kids played in the water while the adults talked. it was a lot of fun.  today is my only ‘free day” this week. I went to the Y then went out in search of a new swimsuit and met my MIL for a bit but never found one, but did find some great shirts really cheap.   the boys napped when we got home and are eating lunch now. I”m hoping to have time to run to one more store before I pick up Caleb then we’ll head to the pool til Dean gets home. that’s the plan anyway…I’m so tired though….we’ll see how it goes.
Caleb’s last day of school is this Thursday, it’s a half day at that. then the fun of summer begins. I’m planning a trip w/ the boys and I to Baltimore the week of June 12th. dean’s fathers day gift will be almost a week to do whatever he wants. I’m sure he’ll hang out at Kings Island and ride “adult” rides since he always takes caleb with him and he cant just ride what he wants.
lots more went out but I dont have time or the energy to go into it….but it was a great weekend and I am looking forward to an awesome summer. we are definitely at home here in so many ways. I’m making new friends, some who live on our street and the convenience of that is awesome. I am getting to really feel comfortable calling this home, which is odd since we havent been here that long, but we’ve feel very welcomed.
gotta finish feeding the kids to get onto the store and back in time to pick up caleb. have a great week!!
