argh….can I go back to bed please??!?!

I had  a disturbing dream last night, hoping it’s just a dream.   My granddad has been  very sick lately and in my dream they found out he had cancer and it was inoperable.   I hate having dreams like that.  the worst part is I tend to have very vivid dreams, I wake up and its like it really happened.   my brain doesnt shut it off when the dream ends or something strange.

I’m groggy this morning as is because I was out til around 11:30 last night for a moms group leadership meeting.   it was fun, but I feel crappy for being so busy yesterday and up so late.

Todays goal is to figure out what to do about Caleb’s cake situation.  that and avoid this 100 degree weather if I can!  hoping to get to the pool sometime today, but if my head keeps hurting that might not happen.   gotta go get Bo out of trouble…again.

well I suppose the rest of the world, or at least not in our neck of the woods, is as stoked as caleb is about “High School musical” and it’s upcoming 2nd movie.   He wants a “high school musical” themed birthday this year.  i thought sure, I’ll order a cake from Sam’s.  Today I went to do so, and turns out they dont have anything for that theme.  neither does kroger.   Geez…our local cake store doesnt either, I had decided I would just make a cake and get stuff to decorate it at the cake store…so much for that.   now on to plan C …ummm….not sure what that is.   We’re not really having a big party but I want him to have something nice nonetheless.   I am thinking maybe a basketball themed cake since that is part of the movie.    I vaguely remember seeing a  High school musical cake someplace, hoping it was at the new walmart supercenter.  I just tried to call them and no one in the bakery ever picked up.  So hope is not lost, yet.   I just wish I had realize how hard this was going to be a lot sooner, his birthday is on Friday!

I’ve been  reading this book called the Medical science of House, M.D.

It’s a really good book and I was almost done reading it….but the other day I came home to find that Shea(the new dog) had torn my book up.   I have often referred to the book as “my house book” As in when I cant find it I ask Dean “have you seen my house book?”

So as Caleb was telling his friends about all the bad things Shea has done I overheard him say” she even tore up my mom’s Home book”   I couldnt help but laugh at him, he didnt know that it really was titled “house”   I smile every time I think about it!

Just wanted to share!

SWEET!  we’re going to trade a twin size mattress and boxspring thats been taking up room in our basement for this toddler bed.  Bo’s going to love it!!   :-)  then that frees up Bo’s toddler bed for Zeke.   Zeke loves to cuddle up on Bo’s bed, so I dont think it will be long before he’s ready for it.   I’m hoping to keep them both in toddler bed’s until they are both ready to share a room w/ bunk beds to free up one of their rooms for an office or hobby room/ aka games and scrapbooks.

not sure the new dog is going to be able to stay. Ginger (our first dog) is having serious aggression issues w/ Shea(the new dog) Not to mention Shea is unruly when left alone. turns out their owner failed to tell she was an outdoor dog. So she’s not used to being left inside unchaperoned. She’s torn up a package of diapers and poops all over when alone. So we started putting her in a cage when we leave.   Today I left to go to the grocery store and left Shea in her cage in the kitchen. We got home and she had managed to tear up the curtains on the window next to her cage. So even while locked up she caused problems! Last night ginger and Shea got really aggressive and I’m so afraid one of the kids is going to get hurt. it’s annoying because for more than half the day they are fine together and Shea doesnt make messes when we’re home. So if we never left the house and as long the dogs dont have toys to fight over, then things might be fine….but who knows. I hate to have to give her back….

So on Friday Zeke saw the pediatrician and got a prescription antibiotic.   His ears were fine, or so the dr said.  today his ear is draining yucky stuff.   How in the world could he have developed an ear infection so bad that it would rupture today after 2 days of antibiotics and it being fine on Friday?!?  the ENT had given us a script for ear drops in case his ears ever drained and said to call them and let them know so they could update his chart that he had an infection, so I guess we’ll use the drops and call them tomorrow.   my poor little sick baby, so much for the tubes helping ward off ear infections.
