Is it really too much to ask to enjoy a meal. to actually want to eat it, then to enjoy every bite and not get extremely ill halfway through said meal or right after. I hate this part of pregnancy and I mean HATE. that’s all I got for today. dean went to the dr today for back pain, he hasnt been to the dr in a year and even then it was for a physical to work at Caleb’s preschool. He had to get xrays and some meds for his back. I was glad he went, hoping he’s feeling better once he starts the meds tonight. It’s no fun both of us being miserable.

Washer Woes

It has already cost us $79 to find out what was wrong with the washer, the informative repair guy from BGE Home said it would cost $300+ with labor and parts to fix our washer. the motor died. he did a temporary fix til we can get a new one but said it wont last long. Apparently the GE brand washer we had typically doesnt last long and he recommends buying a whirlpool or roper washer. He was very helpful and I was glad it didnt take him long to figure out the problem and that he was nice enough to not make us waste our money. So we’ll be using our charge card to buy a new washer, we had gotten to having credit card debt of just $300 left to pay off so this will suck but knowing we are still doing better w/ our credit we should be ok. This just isnt a good time for us financially. we had already decided this week to stop paying and going to the Y and will be getting rid of one of our cell phones. Unfortunately the Y needs 30 day notice before ending the membership so we’re out this month but we shouldnt have to pay for next month. that alone will save us $70 a month, that should help a lot w/ diapers and formula!! But of course some of that will now go to paying off our new washer once we get it. Sometimes I really hate being an adult and a homeowner, it so sucks.

All the books on pregnancy say to avoid morning sickness eat small frequent meals. In an attempt to have a better morning than yesterday, I had a little yogurt before taking Caleb to school. Baby E did not like said yogurt and thus another morning spent being sick. I napped and hadnt eaten again til just a little while ago, I’m trying out making calzones and I LOVE calzones so I thought just eating a little was safe. I made sure not to eat too much so that I wouldnt get too full and sick. too bad, Baby E didnt like that either. I cant eat, I cant not eat. Whoever said pregnancy is joyful lied, bigtime. I mean it’s fun when you can feel the baby move around but other than that I have never had much joy, except when i’m not throwing up! So those who’ve never been pregnant I hope you have good uneventful symptom free pregnancies. I am pretty sure after this I will not have another child, but who knows , my first two pregnancies were just like this and here I am again. God gives women this forget mechanism that makes you think that things will be great, that having another kid is wonderful. This isnt meant to dissuade anyone from childbearing, in the end having a kid who tells you he hates you and constantly disobeys you is so worth it. 😉

There is hope….

Wow ! it’s amazing what an hour and a half nap can do for you, I just might be able to make it to the grocery store afterall today!

something else amazing is this! I could have written Dean’s entry about it, I really could care less about the Prez. or anything political but it’s still pretty cool for the group to be recognized for their hard work. It still would be cool to meet him, I admire any person who takes such a huge job responsibility on and dont envy him for the calls he has to make while in leadership, but honestly I dont care what happens politically. I know some will hate me for not being politically aware or even caring in general but there’s bigger things in life than worrying about what our prez does, we cant change it so I just figure what’s the point. but I applaud him for at least making the effort to be a part of helping Katrina victims. I mean heck, if we can do it, it’s the least a man of his influence could do.

now I remember why I dont like being pregnant, pain, throwing up, nausea, fatigue…blah blah blah. To think I thought this time would be different. it’s not even 9 am and I’ve already fallen alseep watching Bo play, I am a horrible horrible mother. Luckily he is already going to sleep for his morning nap since I had to wake him to take caleb to school so he was tired so I’m off for a much needed nap too. I dont know what I’d do if I had a “real” job or if Caleb didnt have school. Pray he sleeps nice and long this morning so I can too. I’m so tired in fact that the breakfast mess will stay and heck w/ cleaning up yet, I’m taking advantage of every chance to sleep today that I can. Sounds like a plan for a fun filled day huh?

Bo really misses having his brother home during the day. today, after a messy meal, I was getting ready to put Bo in the bathtub. He kept turning around and calling out. I’m guessing he was looking for Caleb since they almost always get a bath together. it was cute!

A repair man from BGE is scheduled to come look at our washer tomorrow. We really still cant afford it, but they will put it on our regular BGE bill so hoping that Dean’s second job will bring in enough to help pay for it. it cost $79 just for the first half hour of looking at it, $29 for every additional 15 minutes. I am guessing the looking at it to find out what wrong part wont take long, and believe me I’ll be standing closeby to make sure he works every minute. We’re dreading the total cost and I’d much rather invest the money in a new bigger washer, since with 3 kids soon it would be nice but I cant convince the man who pays for everything. So pray it doesnt take long to figure out what is wrong and that the repair part doesnt cost too much.

A few pics….

\

at the sports themed kids party yesterday, the kids were given bandanas. Dean and I wore one too, I thought this was a cute pic, if it matters of me at 9 weeks pregnant.

Dean and I sporting our bandanas

On Saturday our family celebrated with my grandparents for their 50th wedding anniversary. Congrats!!

My cousins and I along w/ our grandparents. there’s a ton of us girls, guess that’s why all the great grandbabies have been mostly boys! Everyone keeps telling me how much I look like my grandmom, what do you think?

I’ve said it before but I just really am in love!

Bo is always so pleased with himself when he makes a mess!
