Sunday sunday…

Week 13 – morning sickness has been traded in for killer migraines. I truly dont know what it worse, then again there are times when both happen together that’s really fun too!

been a not so busy weekend. attended a baby shower for a friend last night it was fun and I cant wait to meet her little girl when she arrives. Seeing all the baby girl clothes made me really want this baby to be a girl but honestly I think I really want another boy. it will be cheaper since we have all boy stuff already and I wont have to learn how to deal w/ girl stuff! I can only seem to like boy names as well, it was this way with the first two pregnancies too so I’ll be suprised if we do have a girl, and will be very unprepared.

the basement is dry today, but the rain has stopped as well! Dean’s been super dad all weekend, i’ve been either too tired or too miserable to do much and he’s done a great job keeping up w/ the kids this weekend. The house only looks like a tornado went through but I hope to fix that before heading to bed today, if this headaches fades that is! I even went out by myself to that shower and was gone for 3 hours. The longest I’ve been out alone in a long time, it was nice and Dean managed just fine. Well I really need to get this house in some sort of order before tomorrow. My mom and I are spending some time together since she’s off for Columbus day, Caleb has school and Dean has work so it’ll be us and Bo so not sure what we’ll do; probably shopping and lunch. I just pray I dont have a headache again tomorrow. well off to do mommy type stuff…

The flood waters are rising…

My plan for this weekend was to re-organize our front “storage” room where all of my cake decorating supplies are. Since yesterday and the massive amounts of rain we’ve been hit with, instead we’ve spent our time soaking up the water that’s leaking into that room. I hate this. I hate our house, always have. it’s always needed so much work and we just cant afford it. Dean’s been trying to patch it up today but it’s not helping. Thankfully nothing has gotten ruined as we’ve learned in the past how leaky our basement is and we’ve since kept everything in plastic storage bins. but the continually having to check and clean up water is annoying and reminds me how much I hate this house. It’s always something happening around here to depress me so I’m trying to let dean deal with it but it’s still stressing me out. houses in our neighborhood are going for twice what ours appraised for when we refinanced over a year ago, leaky basement aside, our house is bigger than those houses being sold and we could easily get double what we paid for it, but who’d want to buy a leaky house and better yet we’d have to buy something about the same size which would be more than we can afford, but maybe w/ the profit we could. who knows. I keep looking at real estate ads and wishing we could sell and get a house I might actually like. It’s a dream and I know that, Dean’s commited to this house unfortunately. at the time when we got this house it was a great deal for us and we were able to buy it at a monthly mortgage of something around what we’d pay for a rental someplace and it is a big house so it was a great idea. but even then I was against it due to all the work we had to put into it, work that still needs done 4 years later. I hate being a homeowner. On top of that, I hate rainy Saturdays. BLAH!

Just another day..

Looks like we’ll have two blues clues babies…well kids. caleb liked Bo’s outfit and I just won him a similar, yet nicer one on ebay. So they will both be Blue for Halloween. so much for the Steve and Blue thing…some of the Steve shirts on ebay were going for a lot so it was probably better this way. I’ll take pics of Caleb in his outfit when it arrives.

it’s been a fun day, Caleb had a half day so we went to a concert at the mall. I’m tired and spent most of the morning cleaning house. bo just managed to totally gross me out by throwing up his lunch all over my clean living room. Oh well, it’s just one of those all around blah days. I’m hoping to get both boys to nap but not sure if caleb will go for it, praying he does!! No big plans this weekend, I want to get one of our storage rooms organized, my cake pans and chocolate molds need a better home than how they are currently stored so that’s my goal for the weekend, if I can get Dean in on it!

OH yeah, my ticker says 13 weeks today! Wohoo for second trimester! I havent been as sick but still not 100%. I’m definitely more fatigued lately, I’m due for more thyroid bloodwork next week so we’ll see then what’s up with that. I dont have another ob appt til the 24th or something like that. so nothing new on the baby front really; sorry!

Chocolate Lovers Unite!

I’m excited that tomorrow I will be meeting Dean for lunch and enjoying the Annual Chocolate Festival at Lexington Market! I’m hoping it doesnt rain or I might not meet him since I’ll have to have Bo in the stroller. I like going to the market for lunch w/ Dean, it’s cheap and there’s so many choices! Caleb always asks to go there when we are downtown too, so he even knows it’s neat to go there. **For some reason the Sun has the event starting at 8:30 or something but it’s from 11a.m. – 5 p.m. or at least that’s what the Market’s webpage says as well as the Baltimore’s Child magazine so I”m guessing those are more accurate.

Remembering what life was like…

I am so glad to have a blog in which I can go back and look at the archives and see what was going on in my life at different times. So for your veiwing pleasure some memories from October’s past(and some November’s too for perspective) :

before I was blogging graduated high school spring 1997
October 1997 – spent at VFCC w/ Dean
October 1998- we got our first apartment together in Ohio

Nov 1, 1998 – got married!
October 1999 – ??? maybe Dean can remember!!
October 2000 fertility Testing
October 2001 house buying – Caleb 2 months old
october 2002 Started being really ill and working full time; Caleb 14 months old
November 2002 diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri(PTC)

December 2002 lost my job due to being out sick too many timesdue to illness
October 2003
Pampered Chef, SAHM, TTC unsuccesfully then sick w/ PTC again
November 2003– meningitis i’ll never forget this experience
October 2004One month countdown to Baby Boaz arrives

Here we are folks back at today. I havent been sick w/ PTC since after my bout with it and meningitis, a few months after going off the meds for that I got pregnant w/ Bo. This November 1st will be our 7 year wedding anniversary. So much has happened in the last few years in our lives, we’ve been through many struggles and had many times of joy as well. Being pregnant makes me always think of our past, it amazes me how much things can change year to year, even month to month. We went from struggling w/ infertility to now having 2 wonderful boys and another baby on the way. We went from renting our first apartment together in Ohio for about $500 a month to a mortgage now more than double that in Maryland! Pre-kids we lalways had 2 cars most of the time, but now we’ve been a one car family for quite a while; dreaming of our minivan we’re praying to be able to afford in the spring/late winter. we have been blessed in many ways and even through many times of struggling with my health and finances we always know things will get better, they always do.
