Wisdom from my walk

Yesterday morning we debated about what to do since the weather was yucky but in the end kept our original plans to attend the church wide outreach and met others at Vineyard Central in Norwood.   After that we came home and while I napped so Dean and our friend Jay put new front brakes on the van.   When I got up I went to get a haircut, my hair is way too long to be manageable for my schedule so I kept the same cut which I love when I have time to blow dry it straight, but got at least 3 inches cut off the back!  ok at least 2+ inches!!   but still it feels much lighter!   We also worked tech at church all weekend so I was there yesterday from 5 – almost 8 then came home and crashed to be up and out by 7:45 this morning and we got home this afternoon around  1:30 p..m.   Dean’s resting while Zeke naps and I’ve been uploading pics and am now doing so while sitting out front watching Bo play.  I’m exhausted and we’ve no plans for the rest of the day so hopefully we’ll all get a restful, at least relaxing, Sunday afternoon/evening.  More pics up on Flickr… 

This past Sunday Dean and Caleb went to Kings Island for their first 2008 trip on their season passes.  Wohoo!!  waiting on that extra tax money to come this next week so the rest of us can get our tickets!

Last night was Caleb’s first baseball game.  he did great, even got a really good hit in!  Sadly it was a chilly day and I felt horrible. I have some horrible cold that is making me feel like crap.  I awoke feeling better than I have in days, then I opened the windows again this morning and now I am back to sounding horrible. well gotta run…the boys are fighting, again… as always, more pics up on Flickr

how can this be?! it’s free ice cream day and theres no locations close to us participating!  as zeke would say, NOT FAIR!!

who’s crazy for having appointments available for Saturday morning at 8:15, the doctor for scheduling them or the patient who has to be there so gosh darn early!!??   Either way….Zeke went to a different ENT today since he’s on at least his 3rd (probably 4th) ear infection since getting tubes in July 2007.   His regular ENT had emergency surgery and kept rescheduling his appointments so we saw this other dr today in the same practice.   He says we can wait, and to come back in 2 months to see his regular ENT unless he has another ear infection.  If it’s still a problem he’ll need another surgery.   His tube is out of place for some reason so isnt doing its job.    He thinks w/ the warmer weather as long as he doesnt get any more colds he should be fine.    so we will do that wait and see, again, this time w/ Zeke’s health.  Stupid stupid doctors.

Caleb and Dean are going to Caleb’s first ever audition for a play.  I’m nervous for him!  Plus I just realized Dean forgot to take the headshot I purposefully went to get taken this week at picture people for this, darn it!!   oh well guess we get to keep that one for ourselves!  🙂

No other plans today for me or the lil’ ones.  Caleb’s got a friend’s birthday party and I’m hoping I can get in a nap.  I’m getting a cold, or it’s just bad allergies.  but I feel pretty crappy.  I’ve got a doctors appointment on Monday afternoon for me, hoping to get some more clarification on whats next for me.

I’m currently baking some brownies w/ peanut butter filling and they smell yummy!!   the boys are playing in the garage since the van isnt in there and it’s a tad chilly out this morning and so I can clean up the kitchen from aforementioned brownies!

This morning Zeke, Ginger and I walked to a nearby playground.   I got a few pics there and after school I took the boys to the zoo for a little while since it was a beautiful day.   Complete set of pics from today on my flickr acct.

Zeke has croup and another ear infection.  he just finished taking antibiotics last week for the same ear infection.   They gave him a steriod shot to help w/ the croup and a different antibiotic.   He has an appointment w/ the ENT for Saturday, I’m not sure if he’ll need a new tube put in or something else??!  I’m guessing either way it will mean surgery of some sort, which I hate the thought of.  Poor Zeke just gets to get all the fun stuff!!

so no work for me this week!   that just gives me more time to catch up on laundry, wohoo for me! and less of a chance to work out at curves since I’ve got a sick kiddo who cant be around other kids yet.

other than that, nothing new going on really.   keeping busy and enjoying the nice weather w/ the family.

I am LOVING the nice warm weather.  One of my favorite things about this time of year is finally getting the sandals out.    My friend asked if I’d like to go get a pedicure w/ her, and since she offered to pay how could I say no!! So we went to curves first and then to get my first ever pedicure while her hubby watched all of our kids, her 2 and my 3 until Dean got home to help out w/ the kids.   It was so nice to relax and talk without kid interruptions especially after a nice workout!

After I got home and ate my dinner ( I was a good enough wife to have left dinner in the oven before I headed out!) we went to a local park to hang out.  Dean’s co-worker met us and the big boys ( Dean and his friend that is!) threw around the frisbee while the “little” boys enjoyed the park.   Pics up on flickr and even a video (loving that flickr has the option now!) of Bo riding a big bike.  He’s definitely our athlete that one!   Bo walked around the park w/ Ginger, it was an adorable sight.  He was soaked w/ sweat when we left from all of the exercise he got at the park!  Zeke loves the swings at the park the most and Caleb did a lot of different things, including trying to walk on rocks at the stream w/out getting wet!
