15 1/2 week update

today I had the fastest ob appt I’ve ever had! we were in and out in 15 minutes! I dont prefer quick appointments generally but it was Bo’s nap time and he was very sleepy so it was fine for today. She was finally able to use the doppler to hear the baby’s heart beeat. She said it was 157. Nothing else exciting came out of the appointment, I got the order to get my u/s done in 4 weeks. I am planning on getting it done the Mon. or Tues. of thanksgiving week, before we head to ohio. My mom is off that week so she will keep Bo and that way we’ll hopefully know if it’s a boy or a girl before the holidays! my next ob appt isnt until Nov. 30th, after we get back from Ohio but at least I can get my ultrasound before then. I cant decide if I should call the u/s place now to schedule or wait a week or two? any thoughts? I’ll also have my first one hour glucose test done on Nov. 30th as well. At least that will be after Thanksgiving so I can enjoy at least one holiday meal, last year I didnt get to really so at least this year I can.

Finally getting to hear the heartbeat has me more excited than I’ve been about this pregnancy so far, and that’s good. I’m really excited to know we may know the baby’s sex and how it’s doing before thanksgiving!! I’ve gained 4 lbs total so far this pregnancy and that’s not so bad, considering I didnt gain at this point w/ the other two ( i was still losing weight at this point w/ them) it’s good. Just hope it doesnt mean this baby will be a lot bigger! I have been hungry all of the time, minus when I’m nauseas of course but I’m definitely hungrier and eating more frequently this pregnancy. well Bo is calling for me so gotta go…I’m exhausted again and the boy napped in the car and of course that wasnt enough so I’m trying to decide if I should put him down for afternoon nap before we go get Caleb or after….decisions decisions…
