climbing up the walls, literally…

how do you teach an 11 month old that’s its not ok to climb up onto the coffee table and stand there playing w/ everything on the entertainment center? how do you teach him that it’s not ok to climb out of his high chair during meal time and stand on the food tray and then proceed to climb onto the dining room table…this one we’ve solved by using a 5 strap harness system that we hadnt been using on the high chair. today he’s climbing onto the end tables and laughing at me. Yes, caleb was a climber but not as inventive as Bo is in that Bo will move his toys so he can climb onto them then onto what he really wants to climb on to get what he wants. He’s very sneaky and it’s scaring the crap out of me! it was cute at first, the newfound ability to climb, now it’s just driving me nuts!

I’ve got my ob appt in about an hour….dreading it in some ways yet looking forward to hearing the baby’s heartbeat, hopefully. I’d look forward to it more if I didnt have to take Bo w/, I had him w/ me at the appt yesterday as well. not to mention it’s a very rainy day and I hate going on and having to fight w/ the stroller in the rain. It’s a blah kind of day and I’d much rather put bo down for nap and try to get one myself. No such luck today, at least our basement isnt leaking today! wohoo!
