When you are young you have your parents to make all the big decisions for you.   They are the ones that are supposed to keep you safe and protect you from the harms of this cruel world.   Tomorrow morning we take Bo to get surgery, it’s something simple, another set of tubes and getting his adenoids taken out.  this is a decision we made for him, something we hope improves his hearing and in turn his speech.  we make these decisions not to hurt him but to help him, and because we love him.

Once your kids up and move out it’s up to them to make their own decisions.  Sometimes, ok, a lot we all make the wrong choices.  We must deal w/ the consequences of those choices, whether they be good or bad.   We’re dealing with some hard stuff tonight as a family and if you could please pray for us.  Dean and my heart’s are broken but we’re making the right choices for our family.   I won’t go in to detail but we are ok, just dealing w/ the hardness of life and trying to protect ourselves and our kids from the harshness of the world.    we’re doing our job and sometimes its hard to do the right thing, and tonight we aren’t quite sure what that right thing is but we’re doing what we can.    wishing we weren’t the ones in charge……………..

About Amy

Mom to boys who were born Aug. 2001, Nov. 2004, March 2006; and devoted wife to the love of my life since Nov. 1998. Chronic worrier but devoted Christian who is trying to put her fears and faith in the One who created it all and provides for all my needs despite the daily challenges and doubts that arise. Along the way I chose to share my journey with you. Thanks for coming along for the ride! The road won't always be bright and the journey may sometimes be hard, but it can be an amazing adventure if you keep your eyes and thoughts "on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable" (Philippians 4:8).
