Suprise!

My friend Karen and I. She is scheduled to have her second baby, Emily on August 30th. We figured we’d get the only picture we have of us both pregnant at the same time!

that’s right folks, we are pregnant, again! While I was visiting Dean’s parents in Ohio I took a home preganancy test and sure enough almost immediately I saw 2 lines. I called Dean and we both were in shock, I think I still am! we know we wanted more children and that with my health continuing to be crazy we’d start sooner than later to try for our next child. We assumed this would take at least a year since it took 2 or more years to conceive either one of the first two kids. It was barely a month after that conversation we had about having another that were pregnant.

I have my first ob appt this week and I apologize for not calling everyone to share the news but I’m tired, very tired and hate not being able to blog about how I am doing because I havent shared the news here yet. I finally told my mom and brother yesterday, the rest of the world will know as I see them or as they read here. I’m doing ok mostly, just tired and sick, nothing new for me and pregnancy. I’m nervous about being pregnant and having so many health issues and I dont know how it will affect the pregnancy so I’ll know more after this wednesday and after my appt w/ a specialist on the 29th.

Again dont be offended that I didnt call you personally to tell you the news, I’m anxious about my health and the pregnancy and not having complete info about that or a due date I felt theres really not much to share other than that we are pretty sure I’m pregnant. We’re happy to be blessed with another baby and are having fun talking about “e” baby names.

We know that God has given us this chance to be pregnant again and I know He will provide a healthy pregnancy for the baby and I or give me the strength to overcome whatever happens. My mom is praying this is the easiest of the 3 pregnancies, I’m scared that it will be the worst but I’m praying too that this is easier than the first 2. I’m very very tired, and am waiting for a round of results from bloodwork about my other two health conditions. I havent had any “pregnancy” related bloodwork yet but I’d be suprised if two hpt that were positive were wrong! So wish us luck, or say some prayers, either way please join us in our joy for this new life!

6 weeks pregnant, will know exact dates later this week.

The interesting parts of this story are that we found out I was pregnant again on the night of Caleb’s 4th birthday. I’ll have my first ob appointment on the day Boaz turns 9 months old. I think both of those are two really cool things to know and to have happen!
