My first accident, at least w/ me being the driver and not a passenger!

busted lightIn 2007 I got my first ticket ever for not stopping at a stop sign. Today pick up at Calebs school was a mess. First off it was early dismissal and I was barely in the lot when traffic stopped. A school bus had parked in the way and didnt move and neither did we for 15 minutes. I finally let Bo get out to go meet the boys so they would know I was there but couldnt get to a parking spot. A lady in a parked car in front of me got out of her car and yelled at me telling me it was my fault and that if I’d move my car I wouldnt be blocking traffic. We got in an argument, I am not having a good week and I admit I got nasty with her false claims against me, she decided to threaten to kick my ass, which I found funny and ignored her. Finally traffic moved and I got a spot, I had to get out and go find the boys, we found the boys but Bo was missing!! Apparently he couldnt find Caleb and Quinn so he went and sat on a bench by the entrance oblivious to the fact they had already come out. So…we finally get in the car and loaded up and I wait for traffic to clear so I can back out of the parking spot I had finally acquired. I barely backed up when I felt it, we had been hit hard by another car, I immediately stopped the car and got out. by the time I was at the rear of my car the othpoor bumper!er car was too far away and speeding away to get the license plate. I called the school office and had them call the cops for me while I called Dean. The police came and said he didnt know why the other vehicle left because by the law it was my fault because I was the one backing into the lane, but I know me and I know that I am always paranoid about this happening so I always wait and let all the cars go before I back up, and today was no different. So there’s a police report on file and we need to meet our deductible of $500 and the other driver is off the hook unless we find them, which we may since its a small town and the chances of them being at pick up again are pretty good and the chances of me stalking the school parking lot for that red suv are high, I want them to pay for leaving the scene, and because I know it was their fault. the damage itself proves they were going way too fast and hit me too hard for me to have just slowly backed into them. not to mention they left!! I have had a bad week and emotionally not doing well and then this. I am not happy and if Dean hadnt come home I’d probably still be crying my eyes out. just one more thang….

repair estimate is $1899….we should just have to pay $500 deductible so I guess that’s a deal!
