I just one morning to sleep in…better yet one morning to wake up w/out pain.  I’ve been asking every morning for Dean to leave late or come home early….it never happens. I shouldnt waste my breath.  Mornings are the worst and lately the pain subsides as the day goes on, so if I just had a few hours to relax I’d be fine, but theres not much relaxing when it comes to two toddlers.
I had an appt w/ my gyn this week. I am scheduled for an u/s next week just to make sure nothing other than the fibroids is going on.  Basically my only option to deal w/ my current problems in that area is to have my uterus removed.  Is it worth it, well before she said it I had mentioned to Dean that I just wish that’s what they would do, they she said that was an option at my appt and I was interested. but not sure if I’m ready for early menopause!  but heck at least then the gout wouldnt baffle the doctors any more! :-)   Fun stuff. So dealing w/ a lot of questions on what to do about things, not wanting to make any decisions since that would mean getting surgery and having a 6 week recovery that involves not lifting the kiddos.  so maybe waiting til they are older is a better option for me, unless of course the u/s shows us otherwise.
big busy weekend ahead of us.  All I want to do is sleep….hoping though to go to get a nice dress to wear to Dean’s work party tonight. Not sure if I am in the mood to shop or wrangle 2 kids while I do…but not many options as todays the day of the party and the only free day I’ve had all week!

Hello Amy! I stumbled across your site looking for kite cake decorating ideas, and realized we have a few things in common. I have lupus, am staying at home with my children who are 6 and 3, and I too had to deal with the possibiblity of medication-induced menopause at 29 years old. (I avoided it by the grace of God, the doctors had no idea what they were doing! and had another child afterwards.)
I have a friend who has fibro and had a hysterectomy, and it was not good for her at all. The pain in her abdomen went away, but it totally flared up her fibro, the menopause symptoms hit hard, and she has been not functioning at a healthy level for about 2 years now. She has no children! I know how it is to be sick with toddlers, parenting from bed, trying to make sure they are OK when you are too tired to get up.
Anyway, please pray about that a lot and don’t make a rushed decision (wait for Christmas to be over at least!) and I will pray God will give you direction, since that is a very hard decision to make, and I know when I am sick I am just in a ‘fog’ and cannot even think much less make important life changing decisions! I can barely even get the breakfast dishes done!
Well I’m off to decorate our kite cake for hubby’s birthday and get a nap in for me while the kids watch TV (They LOVED your Larry Boy cake!!!!!) and that’s my day. God bless you and your family.
