We joined the Y on Saturday, they had a special which waived the $150 joining fee so we just had to pay for the first month which is good.  On Saturday we all went and swam for about an hour.  Today  I went to a water exercise class and left the boys in the childcare room.  they had fun , I got to exercise and even got an uninterrupted shower afterward.   I could get used to this!!  Too bad I was already in pain before I went and now I’m all achy.  I talked to the instructor afterward, I dont want to do too much too fast and end up making me feel worse.  She was very knowledgeable about fibromyalgia and said to see how I feel the rest of the day today and tomorrow and maybe I could do every other day, the class meets every day.   She said one of the ladies who has fibromyalgia needs two days between work outs.  I am hoping I can do it more frequently, and add in other exercise, including weights.    I was of course the youngest in the class, there was a 93 year old lady and she didnt even look that old!!  So it’s mostly older ladies but they made me feel comfortable anyway so it’s all good.    I just really want and need to lose weight and now I have excuse w/ the y membership, I am not going to let this illness to make me unable to get in shape, and my dr said the more excercise I do the better the fibromyalgia will get better..hoping she’s right, right now I feel crappy!!
