Fun stuff

just bought this for me just because I wanted it and it was on sale, free shipping and then got an add’l 10% off!!  Our slowcooker is 7 years old and is fine but I want something a little bigger with all of the  entertaining we use it for.   Not to mention I wanted a rectangular one.  Plus then I can cook twice as much and freeze leftovers, which is always a good thing, saves time and money!   I have used our slow cooker 4 times since Friday, it’s a well used appliance in our house so I thought it’s only fair I get a decent one.  I’m loving the idea of a tight lid for taking it from cooking straight to the fridge or for taking it out with us on nights we use it for potlucks/parties.

Now I just need an efficient hand mixer to keep up w/ all my baking, lately I’ve cut back on baking since it’s hard to do w/ my diet, those splenda cookies werent bad but still too tempting and bad for me too often.    I bought some entertaining things from Pamered Chef this week too, we keep hosting game nights and we tend to have people over a lot in general so it’s all money well spent, plus we got our tax money and the boy, I mean my hubby has plenty on his wish list that cost lots and not really anything I want to enjoy so I’m taking advantage of buying some things I will enjoy/ find useful.  Funny how i get practical things and he gets “toys”  I still havent bought any baby things yet, Dean wants to wait a little longer.   He did make us reservations at a B&B in  Phoenixville PA, where we went to college together for a semester.   we’re going for a weekend getaway to enjoy the memories the area holds for us and to get the last break before Baby E comes.  We’re aiming for the 2nd weekend in March but I’m so afraid my ob wont approve it, it’s 2 hours away and I’ll be 36 weeks pregnant!!   If all goes well we’ll have a nice weekend, wish it was sooner!

the other thing we want to do w/ our tax money is do some work on our bathroom.   I dont expect it to get done before the baby arrives but I would be sooo happy if it did happen before then!   We paid off the van we got a few months ago, and it’s nice to know we now own both vehicles.   Well I am worn out from my busy day and theres lots to do around the house now that one kid is in bed and one is on his way there.   I am really looking forward to having no where to go tomorrow, Just hoping Bo starts feeling better.   I’ve barely let him eat since he threw up and he wont drink much so I let him have a couple of popsicles but his diapers have been mostly dry so I’m getting worried.  After tomorrow morning it will be 24 hours of no milk so I think around mid morning I”ll try to let  him have some again.   Hoping tomorrow is a nice quiet day around here!!! I can wish cant I?
