he’s poxed for life!

Any big plans for ringing in the new year?  for me all I can hope is that I am in bed at midnight if not sooner, unless of course I am blessed with a nap before then.   Caleb indeed has chicken pox.   I went to our friends at 6:30 this morning to wait for her kids to wake up so she could go to work.   After that I brought them to our house, so we’ve had 6 children at our house today and it’s been quite challenging.  not to mention I’m exhausted!!  Dean did allow me an hour away to go to curves so I “allowed” him to take caleb to the doctors appointment today leaving me w/ 5 kids!  At least it is nice enough outside so we’ve been playing outside for a while.  Inside now for a while because I’m so dang exhausted!  Now that it’s for sure chicken pox I cant do anything worthwhile the rest of this week, and that’s just until Caleb gets better, praying the other two dont get it.  and just because I know you care…..Caleb had been vaccinated but still got it so I’ve little hope that the other two wont get it as well.   just because that’s how lucky we usually are!

I’m on day 6 of the faith walk devotional, I’ve done the 2 mile walk 4 times, today will be my 5th time in those 6 days.  i took Friday off because I had such a rough day, but I did go to curves that day.   I’m hoping to get the walk in later too but right now all I feel like is sleep.

My kids had it last year. In the spring there was a minor out break at the elementary school. They are not as weird about the vaccine around here and several kids in Xavier’s class got it.

All three of the kids got pretty major cases. Of course we didn’t get them the vaccine.

We didn’t get it because of exactly what you are going through – I figured why get them a shot if they are just going to get the virus anyway. I knew too many people whose kids had the shot then got the virus. I figured just let them get sick and then they won’t have to worry about it as adults.

I was a little worried about Willoweve scarring. She had the most and worst pox – but she has almost no scars and the few she does have are fading now. I don’t think the boys with their darker skin have any scars at all.

It was about four days into Xavier’s when Willoweve got sick and then about three days into hers when Quinn started. Just as Xavier’s last spots were scabbing up.

Good luck with the kids. Call anyone you know who haven’t gotten their kids the shot they may want to expose their kids. Or for that matter people who have gotten the shot.

Of course Xavier was exposed four times before he got them.

I will be praying for you and for Caleb.

My girls haven’t had it, and I pray they never catch them…so 2.3 of your boys have had them now? Keep Zeke away! LOL!
