first Halloween in Reading,Ohio

IMG_2323 IMG_2319Our neighborhood, Violetville MD was big into Halloween.   Houses were decorated, often extremely so!   Our neighborhood would be packed with kids.  During the day the school kids would go for a parade through the neighborhood.  So far it seems this community is the same…we’ll see how busy our neighborhood is tonight.  But Calebs school had a parade and the folks even gave them candy bags as they walked around.   he came home w/ a nice size bag of treats from those who were watching.  I had the pleasure of spending the morning w/ IMG_2291 Zeke and Bo at the preschool party then went to Caleb’s party at school before leaving to take Bo to the dr.  He and Zeke have been keeping us up at night the last few nights w/ horrible coughs and general unhappiness…..

Dean booked his flight to Florida for next week.  Everyone is trying to convince me to fly down to meet him for a few days…not sure I want to get into debt to do so but it sure is tempting, esp. when folks offer to keep our kids….

About Amy

Mom to boys who were born Aug. 2001, Nov. 2004, March 2006; and devoted wife to the love of my life since Nov. 1998. Chronic worrier but devoted Christian who is trying to put her fears and faith in the One who created it all and provides for all my needs despite the daily challenges and doubts that arise. Along the way I chose to share my journey with you. Thanks for coming along for the ride! The road won't always be bright and the journey may sometimes be hard, but it can be an amazing adventure if you keep your eyes and thoughts "on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable" (Philippians 4:8).

Oh gosh…if people are giving you the chance to go alone with Dean for a while, GO FOR IT. A couple hundred bucks on a credit card is well worth it. It’s not like you’re flying for thousands to Europe or anything! Flights to FL are cheap, and you might be able to find a deal! See if you might be able to fly out at a different time or something to keep the cost down…I know that might be logistically harder, but if you’re worried about money, that’s an option! Seriously, these chances to vacation without kids do NOT come often…especially when you have three! DO IT. 🙂
