TMI warning!!

So if anyone is interested and doesnt heed the title well then I apologize….on Sunday I had some spotting and a lot of nice discharge. I also noticed a lot of contractions/pressure. By yesterday afternoon I thought I’d have to go to the ER, was having at least 4 contrax. an hour if not more. When Dean got home we ate and I went to bed for the night, the pain went away w/ rest and lots of water. I was up half the night due to being uncomfy and pregnant in general. This morning Bo and I headed out to run errands and by the time I got home we were both exhausted and the cramps were back. After lunch Bo took a nap and I laid down to read until we went to get Caleb from school. We got Caleb and that short adventure of loading Bo up in the car, getting in the stroller going to get him, loading up both kids in the car and coming home made the pain so much worse. I noticed I was bleeding some more and gave in to calling the ob. I was hoping they’d give me an appt tomorrow to be seen, but knowing it was almost closing time there that they’d probably send me to the ER. Luckily they had a 4:15 appt. I made some calls found a sitter conveniently close to the drs office, dropped the kids off and went to my appt. I made it there at 4:17! not to bad considering I called the ob around 3:30, live a good 20 minutes from the office and had to find a sitter and drop the kids off there. Anyway…..the dr agreed my coming in was smart for my symptoms. She asked if I had pre term labor w/ the other 2 pregnancies, and of course no, duh, I was induced w/ Caleb and still got a c-section. W/ Bo days before I delivered I was dilating some. So she did an exam and said my cervix is short, which is new because when I went to the ER I’m guessing a month ago now, nothing was wrong in that area. She said it’s not uncommon for a 3rd pregnancy but still suprised me, guess those contrax. are doing something. she also thinks my other symptoms were from losing my mucus plug. I know neither means I could go into labor soon, but it means my body is preparing a little too soon for labor. they checked for contrax but of course I had none as I fell asleep in their comfy recliner w/ the monitor hooked up! but as soon as I get the kids and lift Bo a few times the contrax and pain are back. she didnt give me any restrictions and I dont go back until my appt next Thursday, so I’m guess she wasnt too concerned. I’m guessing all this means that I will definitely be having this kid before 39 weeks unless things just stop as far as contractions and pressure. I’m glad I got to be checked today, I just felt like something wasnt right, and like I said last time I got an internal check nothing was happening so things are changing. I’m much happier that I was able to go to the obs office for this, which means no copay or anything as opposed to the $50 I would have had to pay if I went to the ER for the same thing. If they hadnt given me an appt. I was going to opt to wait to be seen to avoid a worthless ER visit and copay so I was glad they squeezed me in today. I feel better having gone even if they arent that concerned about it. I wouldnt be suprised though if I end up back in there again before next thursday if this keeps up since as soon as I am active things get crazy. I really think they need to design a monitor that you can wear while you do your normal activities to check for contrax. it’s not realistic to check for them while you are resting and laying down, I mean really….that stops gravity and the activity that causes the contrax to get worse. So I can see why I had none while laying there but I have them all the time when I’m up or particularly if I”m holding Bo a lot. But since they dont care that much i’m not going to restrict myself much, but the pain might stop me in my tracks if it keeps up!
