I made this cake last night for a friend’s son’s birthday party that is scheduled for today.  Seems like we didnt get a whole lot of snow but the majority of schools and some businesses are closed.  So we’ll see if the party is on, unfortunately Boaz has a stomach bug, he’s been having an upset tummy for days and charmed us all night with his vomitting and excessive uncalmable fussing.   So I’m hoping to send Caleb(and the cake) with a friend since Dean is working tonight.   So on one hand I’d like there to be no party today but I made the cake so if not it was a waste of my time.    It was a pain to make too and I am embarassed at how bad I did at decorating it, but that probably has a lot to do with how much back pain I was in all day yesterday.   maybe they’ll postpone it til tomorrow and we can still use the cake.   but Dean’s working tomorrow too so I guess it wont really make much difference.   So I’m home all day, I mean all day, by myself and a fussy sick baby and a grouchy preschooler who is mad that his daddy had to go to work and leave him with me all day. geez…it’s so good to feel loved….
